Culture Day, November 3rd

Join DKK America Materials, Inc. (“DKA”) in observing Bunka no Hi (文化の日)、 or Culture Day.

On this special day, Japan comes alive with vibrant celebrations to honor its rich cultural heritage. Culture Day is a time to celebrate the arts, history, and traditions that make Japan truly unique.

From traditional tea ceremonies and beautiful ikebana flower arrangements to captivating kabuki theater performances, this day showcases the beauty and elegance of Japanese culture.

Culture Day also commemorates the birthday of Emperor Meiji, who played a pivotal role in modernizing Japan during the Meiji Restoration. His legacy reminds us of the importance of embracing tradition while also embracing progress.

Let’s come together to appreciate the beauty of Japan’s

culture today, and every day!

Labor Thanksgiving Day, November 23rd

Join DKK America Materials, Inc. (“DKA”) in observing Japan’s Kinrō Kansha no Hi (勤労感謝の日) or Labor Thanksgiving Day. This year the day is coincident with the US Thanksgiving holiday. With grateful hearts, we can all give thanks for all that we enjoy, Happy Thanksgiving from DKA!

Japanese people come together on this day to express gratitude for the hard work and dedication of every individual in society. This day symbolizes unity and appreciation.

It’s a time to reflect on the contributions of workers across the nation, from farmers to teachers, nurses to engineers. Their tireless efforts drive the country forward and enrich lives.

It’s a great opportunity to remember the importance of hard work, compassion, and coming together as a community.

November Product Highlights

Catalyzing Change for a Greener Tomorrow

Innovations in Automotive Emissions Control

At DKK America Materials, Inc., we’re committed to creating a better future through our products. Our catalytic technology is paving the way for a cleaner and safer planet, one catalyst at a time.

Catalyst Powerhouse

Did you know that the surface area of our catalyst products for one passenger car is about the same as 2.5 football fields? That’s approximately 140,000 sq. ft (13,000 m²) of catalytic power at work. Our technology supports precious metals on this large surface area, preventing them from clumping together even in high-temperature exhaust gasses.

Combating Toxic Substances

But that’s not all—our catalysts combat a range of toxic substances found in automobile exhaust, including carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HC), nitric oxide (NOx), and particulate matter (PM). How? By repeatedly absorbing and releasing oxygen, ensuring that these harmful emissions are properly treated through oxidation and reduction processes. Together, we’re paving the way for a greener future, one catalyst at a time.

Fueling the Future with High-Performance Electrolytes

We’re not just about emissions control; we’re also fueling the future with high-performance electrolyte materials.

Zirconium’s Role in Fuel Cells

Our zirconium compounds have superior ionic conductivity, a vital characteristic for fuel cells and oxygen sensors. We’ve taken our expertise in electronic materials and fine ceramics to the next level, resulting in high-performance electrolyte materials for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC).

Zirconium Innovation

Our secret ingredient? Zirconium oxide. This remarkable material ensures high ionic conductivity and easy moldability for SOFC electrolytes. With these innovations, we’re driving cleaner and more efficient energy solutions.

Enhancing Battery Safety and Durability

Zirconium compounds are at the heart of our mission to shape the future of energy storage.

We’re dedicated to enhancing the safety and durability of lithium-ion batteries with our breakthroughs in refining positive electrode additive materials to nanometer precision. These innovations are driving positive changes in the battery industry.

Towards a Sustainable Tomorrow

Our research spans next-gen all-solid-state batteries and traditional liquid electrolyte batteries, and we’re on the road to a brighter and more sustainable tomorrow.

Diversifying Power Sources

But we’re not just powering batteries; we’re diversifying power sources. By embracing renewables, we’re shaping a cleaner and more sustainable world. Join us on this journey towards a brighter future!
