ZrO2 Spacer Layer in Perovskite Solar Cells
Results of joint research on perovskite solar cells have been published in the international journal Processes.
Daiichi Kigenso Kagaku Kogyo Co., Ltd. (“DKK”, Osaka, Japan; Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange) is pleased to announce that the results of a collaborative study with the University of Hyogo on perovskite solar cells using our zirconium oxide powders have been published in the international academic journal Processes (MDPI: Multidisciplinary Digital Publishing Institute).
In this study, DKK’s mesoporous ZrO2 (UEP) with appropriate specific surface area and pore-size distribution demonstrated excellent insulating properties when used as a spacer layer in carbon-based multiporous layered electrode perovskite solar cells. These characteristics contributed to improved photoelectric conversion efficiency.
DKK will continue to promote the research and development of zirconium compounds that enhance the performance of next-generation perovskite solar cells and will actively engage in technological development in this field. Additionally, by establishing a stable supply system, we aim to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized and sustainable society.
