“KAIZEN” – Building a Better Work Environment Together
Since 1984, we have been actively promoting small group workplace improvement activities, known within our company as “Raku Raku Activities.” In Japanese, “Raku” means “easy and happy”—and that captures the spirit of what we aim to achieve: to work easily and enjoy work.
These activities are driven by the desire to never be complacent with the current state, and to continuously strive for a safer, more comfortable, and more motivating work environment. The results speak for themselves—improved work quality, reduced costs, and higher customer satisfaction.
What Are “Raku Raku Activities”?
These are voluntary, team-based initiatives open to all employees. Anyone can form or join a team and propose a topic for improvement. The energy and enthusiasm of participants keep these activities engaging and sustainable.

Key Activities
- Team-Based Projects
All divisions are encouraged to participate, with each team working on one or two themes per year. These themes often focus on workflow improvements, safety enhancements, or efficiency gains.
- Annual Presentation Gathering
Once a year, all participating teams present their results at a company-wide event. These presentations are evaluated not only on their outcomes but also on clarity, creativity, and presentation skills. Employees vote, and top-ranked teams are awarded prizes.
- Team Get-Together
To foster communication and collaboration across departments, we hold regular get-togethers where teams can share insights, exchange ideas, and build camaraderie in a relaxed and friendly environment.
